Curtis Wright Passed Away

Curtis Wright, designer, developer, and owner of Copper Hills Golf Club passed away Tuesday, November 22nd after a long hard battle with cancer. Curtis served 4 years in the Air Force from 1962-1966 which brought him to Michigan where he met his wife, Donna. After the Air Force, he went to work as an automotive designer for Ford and several other auto design shops. Then Curtis started his own site development business in the 70’s and continued in this field until his passion for golf and his artistic talents lead him to design and develop Cooper Hills Golf Club, a 27- hole championship golf course for which he won many awards.


In his personal life, his true passions were golf, painting, and being in nature. He also enjoyed traveling to his favorite vacation spot, Ixtapa, Mexico. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, employees and customers
