Meet Copper Hills New Golf Course Superintendent

Meet our New Golf Course Superintendent, Jason Carpenter

Jason, our new golf course superintendent at Copper Hills Golf Club,

has been working in the golf course turf management field for the past 23 years, 15 as an Assistant Superintendent and four years as a Superintendent.

Jason says, “I am happy to be back at Copper Hills Golf Club, I worked here previously from 1998 to 2004 as an Assistant Superintendent and helped in completing the grown in of the Jungle course. I am looking forward to having a productive season and whipping the course back into shape. My goal is to provide golfers with an enjoyable place to play and make them want to come back time and time again. I want to thank the Wright family for bring me back and putting their trust in me to keep Curtis Wright’s dream course going and I will do my very best to do so.”

Improve Course Conditions

My first steps to improving conditions are to get our equipment in top shape and getting everything cut to its appropriate height. This past week we verticut greens and rolled them. With the better cut and rolling faster, you should see a nice improvement. We are renovating our bunkers daily and expect to be completed with the 27 holes by the opening of 2018 golf season.  I am excited and really enjoy being back at Copper Hills.
