Copper Hills Golf Course History

Many years ago Curtis Wright had a dream of building his own golf course. He saved and worked as much as possible and began looking for that perfect place to turn his dreams into reality. He favored the 367-acre parcel that now hosts Copper Hills because of its unique terrain of rolling “Hills”, “Marshes”, and “Jungle” like conditions. He started building Copper Hills Golf & Country Club in 1995 and opened the first nine of twenty-seven holes called the Hill course in April of 1997.  The Marsh course followed in July of 1997 and the Jungle course opened up in June of 1999.

Curtis Wright wanted to build one of the most beautiful courses around, and what he did was he built a course that has now been ranked by Golf Digest, as one of the best courses in the state of Michigan. It is also as one of top one hundred courses for women by Golf for Women Magazine.  Copper Hills Golf & Country Club has had more than twenty write-ups in its existence, including a cover on the Oxford phone book and a cover on Golf Michigan (southeastern Michigan edition).

Presently at Copper Hills, we are selling our second phase of the residential, which consist of forty-five home sites.
