Copper Hills Golf Course History
Curtis’ wife, Donna, named the golf course during a fall walk with her husband. They were at the highest point of their land when she noticed the copper hue of the forest they were in and the name Copper Hills was born. She also worked with Curtis in the development of Copper Hills as one of the first geothermal communities.
Curtis started building Copper Hills Golf Club in 1995 and opened the first nine of twenty-seven holes called the Hill course in April of 1997. The Marsh followed in July of 1997 and the Jungle opened in June of 1999.
