Course History

Discover the captivating course history of Copper Hills, from its dream beginnings to a stunning 27-hole golf experience.

Many years ago Curtis Wright had a dream of building his own golf course. He saved and worked as much as possible and began looking for that perfect place to turn his dreams into reality.

He favored the 367-acre parcel that now hosts Copper Hills because of its unique terrain of rolling “Hills”, “Marshes”, and “Jungle” like conditions. He started building Copper Hills Golf & Country Club in 1995 and opened the first nine of twenty-seven holes called the Hill course in April of 1997. The Marsh course followed in July of 1997 and the Jungle course opened up in June of 1999.

Presently at Copper Hills, we are selling our second phase of the residential, which consist of forty-five home sites.
